Suggest Treatment For Infertility While Trying To Conceive

Question: Hello, I am a 30 year old female and my hubby is 32. We have been ttc from the past 2 years. In September 2013 I had conceived naturally (in the first try itself) but miscarried in the 16th week because the baby had a omphalocele.
I had become quite weak after my miscarriage and ended up with TB of the lymph nodes. I underwent ATT for 6 months and I started trying again from October 2014. Till date, I have not yet been pregnant.

I consulted an OBG and from this year January till September - I have already tried 8 rounds of clomid, but it didn't succeed. So he referred me to a Fertility Specialist. And this specialist did 1 natural IUI for us, but no success again.

Before my pregnancy in 2013, I had real horrible periods pain (to the point that I used to miss school/college/office on the first day), and my periods used to last for around 4-5 days. But after my miscarriage (I was induced and so I delivered the baby naturally), I no longer have period pain, just some leg cramping and feel a little weak - that is all. Also, the no. of days of bleeding has reduced from 4 to 5, to just 2 days now. My OBG who saw me when I miscarried as well as my previous OBG and the FS - all think that since I get my periods every month (though it is lesser no. of days now), my lining is fine and TB has not affected my lining.

Please note, all my tests have been normal so far - my hormonal profile is normal, HSG revealed both tubes are open, Hubby's SA is also normal. We also did a genetic compatibility test in 2014 (after my ATT), and that too was normal.
The only thing is when I had a Pelvic study done in October 2014, it was noted that I have Anteverted Uterus, but last month when it was done before the IUI, the technician noted that I have a Retroverted Uterus now.

Our Fertility Specialist is now saying that we have only 2 options left - either do the Laparoscopy or go for IVF directly. I don't want to have the surgery and if the IVF is promising, I would definitely want to go for that. So please could you advise me? What could be actually wrong with me? Is it possible that I have Endometriosis now? Would that explain why the position of my uterus changed? Sorry, I know the post is too long and I have lot of questions, but any advise - would be really appreciated. Thank you so much.

Brief Answer:
IVF is better option

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about infertility.

IVF is better option than laparoscopy.

Endometriosis would have been growing from long time and grown to this extent now.

Position of uterus might have been identified wrongly by displacement of full bladder. Don't worry about it.

Thanks for your reply. So just wanted to clarify from your responses. It is possible that I have endometriosis? But i don't have any other symptom for it. Is there any other alternative? Other than IVF?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Small spots of endometriosis may not be able to be identified.

Even if you undergo laparoscopy endometriosis is likely to recur.

Hence IVF is best option.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
