Brief Answer:
Dont worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

Bigomet SR helps to reduce weight and hence helps to decrease the effect of PCOS..

It is called infertility only after 1 year of unprotected intercourse, you dont get pregnant. Now weight reduction will help you to get pregnant. Well controlled diet with less of fatty food and fried items. 3 meals at correct time in less quantity with more of fruits and vegetables helpsto reduce weight.. Aerobic exercise also reduces weight.

Get a follicular study from day 11 to see the developing follicle. Repeat scan on alternate day till follicle size reaches 20mm. This is the time ovulation occurs and you should have timed intercourse. Repeat scan need to be done to see the signs of ovulation..

If ovulation doesnot take place, you can take ovulation induction drug and follow up with follicular study..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..

Hello Doctor, will weight reduction really help in regularizing a normal period cycle. Please suggest any diet plan for the same. Also please help me understand as to how weight reduction helps in normal periods. i also want to know the reasons why PCOS happens. In my case i was having normal cycle till oct 2007 and this happened suddenly. when i consulted my doctor they have me a medicine called as Primolut N after which i gained weight. the course was foe 3 months. when i saw a sudden increase in weight from 47 kgs in 2007 .. i stopped the medicine. from there the PCOS problem started. Now my diet is the same...no outside food.. i also avoid much of fried foods but still not able to loose weight.I think getting a reduction in weight after the hormonal changes is pretty difficult. Please suggest some solution as i am too much stressed because i am unable to conceive.

Hi,
Thanks for writing..

Yes, weight reduction will help you to reduce the effect of PCOS and regularise your periods.. Excessive weight gain causes periferal conversion of estrogen to androgen which is a male hormone which affects ovulation. To reduce these effects aerobics and strict diet will help.

Consult a nutritionist who will provide an apt diet for you. An average diet chart is as follows:
1.Morning 8 am-2 idli/dosa
2. afternoon 1pm- 1cup rice with lots of fruits and vegetables.
3. Evening 4pm- 1 cup skimmed milk
4. Dinner 8pm- 1 chappathi with lots of vegetables

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day...

Brief Answer:
Due to insulin resistance

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..

Exact cause of PCOS is not known.. It can be due to excess insulin but body has developed insulin resistance which causes periferal conversion of estrogen to androgen. Androgen is a male hormone which inhibits ovulation. This problem will be there since puberty but will be evident only when there is excess weight gain..

Hope I have answered your query.. feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..
