Question: Hell Doc, Iam 29 yrs old, married for 2 years, trying to conceive since then.

I have thyroid since 6 months taking Thyronorm 50mcg since 2 months, earlier i was taking 25mcg.

Whiel follicular study, identified a para ovarian cyst measuring - 20X17mm int he right ovary

Did two follicular study the first one, "did not rupture" , later one, taken two months back it "ruptured" , on the 12th day, my right ovary was 20X17mm and left was 16X11mm, endometrial thickness - 7mm , the same day i was injected with some DNS, not sure of the injection name On the 14th day both my follicles ruptured, and the free fluid in POD was positive, but i didnt get pregnant and i got my regular periods.

My doc is advicing me to go through same procedure again, ( follicular study, injection , rupture and wait for me to concieve) should follow my doc? Kindly suggest me what shoudl be my next step.. i am gona be 30yrs in few months and i am worried i will never get pregnant, getting aged....

Brief Answer:
WORKUP SUGGESTED

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the updates.
1. Your husband's semen analysis is a must. Please get it done after 3 days of abstinence at a reputed lab, going for stimulation without semen analysis is futile.
2. Next, go through further 3 more cycles of follicular monitoring, during which ovulation should be confirmed , and you should remain sexually active during the ovulatory period.
3. After 3 cycles, if you still do not conceive, go for a laproscopy to check if the fallopian tubes are patent or not.
4. If you do not ovulate during the 3 cycles, you should consider IVF ( in vitro fertilization ) directly.
5. Go for following investigations - Complete blood count, blood group, viral markers, FSH, LH, TSH, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Pap smear.
Do not lose hope.
You are quite young, and should have good results soon.
Please take daily 5 mg per day folic acid ( Folvite ).
Exercise and try to reduce your weight by 5 - 10 kg.
Avoid stress, try yoga and meditation also.
Where do you reside, I can suggest a good Infertility Expert.
Hope this helped you.

Brief Answer:
First, get these investigations done, diet and exercise are more important

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear thank you for the appreciation.
You are very kind .
Actually first get the investigations done.
If you have PCOD - polycystic ovarian disease, then you will have unexplained weight gain.
For that, Metformin tablets can be taken.
Nothing can replace diet and exercise however.
Consult a dietician and go for a restricted calorie diet and workout for 45 minutes atleast 5 days a week.
It will show you definite results.
Take care.
Keep updating me.
Wish you luck .
Apollo Hospitals XXXXXXX and Cloudnine XXXXXXX are both good places to try out INfertility COnsultation.
