Question : I have diagnosed myself with insomnia(inability to sleep longer than an hour each night) severe depression and self abuse when I was a teenager. I also have OCD from my father because I lived with him while attending college when I was about 17-21. My mother is an obsessive hoarder. I am also doing my best to care for my grandmother who is almost 80 yrs old. I really need help. ive seen a psychologist, a psychiatrist and me personal obgyn because I am a women. ive never gotten any help before because my parents were unwilling to recognizing the truth. Ive been depressed since I was 12 years old. I'm now a 26 yr old and still depressed. what do I do? ive considered sucicide...maybe its the cheapest option...ive considered in patient and outpatient treatment but I'm at my witts end. I'm very lost. Please someone help me

I can understand your concern.
Suicidal thought in depression patient is termed as very severe depression.
And this should be treated as an emergency.
Electro conclusive therapy (ECT) is indicated in depression with suicidal thought.
So better to consult good psychiatrist and discuss all these.
Addition of antidepressants, anxiolytic drugs are also needed in your case.
Constant and continuous counseling by psychotherapist is also important along with ECT and drugs.
So don't feel depressed and helpless. Consult good psychiatrist. Keep positive attitude towards treatment.
