Question : I am having PCOD and was diagnosed with insulin resistance. My insulin PP serum was 66 in XXXXXXX 2017. Then I started Metital (500 mg - twice a day) and Diane for 3 months. After that my insulin level has increased to 101. Also my blood sugar level has increased - 116 (fasting) and -176 (PP).
I have stopped Diane now and was advised to take Metital thrice a day.
I have two queries:
1. For curing PCOS, what should be done.
2. Considering my blood glucose level, Can we plan baby?

                                    Brief Answer:
Things can be managed.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi!
I WILL TAKE YOUR SECOND QUESTION FIRST.
yes definitely you can plan your baby at these sugar values.
we need to control them before you conceive.
Now your first query, to cure PCOS, well we don't actually cure it, we only try to bring back the hormonal imbalance.
so now something which is not your query, sugars may not bother your conception, but PCOS may interfere. So I need to know how regular are your cycles? , what were your LH, FSH , E2, 17 (OH)P LEVELS before starting Diane?

I know PCOS will interfere with the conception.
My cycles are very irregular. They vary from 45days to 3-4 months
Prior to Diane, I have also taken ovacare for 6 months that didn't help. and prior to that I was on some Ayurvedic medicines. So correct cycle duration is unknown to me now.
These hormonal levels were not measured by my doctor before starting Diane.
