Question : I have had diarrhea off and on for several weeks. No other complaints and I do not feel sick in any way. I have taken one bottle of kaopectate no more than once or twice a day. I have gone 2 or 3 days without another occurrence but as soon as I eat something healthful it returns. I am elderly and have had the usual results from bad food, but nothing like this ever.

I have gone very carefully through your query.
As per your clinical history is concerned do a stool examination[RE/ME/Culture] for any infection present or not. Take oral fluid more to compensate electrolyte loss.you can do few things at home-
1)wash your hands thoroughly
2)drink boiled water at home
3)Try to avoid raw fruits
4)Avoid under cooked fish and meats
5)Take a digestive enzymes before each meal every day.
