default
Posted on Fri, 25 Sep 2015
Question: I'm experiencing intermittent nausea with no vomiting and cramping with no diarrhea for the past three weeks. My blood work came back normal, and no blood in stool. In three weeks I've lost three pounds. I'm 69 year's old with excellent health. I get a physical every year and I take no medication except acid blocker which I was recently prescribed. Next week I get ultrasound of abdominal region. Any suggestions as to possible problem.

Brief Answer:
it seems to be due to gastritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms can be due to gastritis.
I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated by a Gastroentologist.
An Endoscopy and an Ultrasound of abdomen will be helpful.
You should continue with the antacid prescribed by your doctor. You can add Domperidone 30mg along with it for added benefits.
Further medical management can be planned according to the clinical evaluation done by your doctor and according to the reports of the above mentioned investigations.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
