Question : I have mild pain directly above my belly button and a little to the left of my belly button for the past 5 hours. It comes and goes every 3 to 30 seconds. Its not too painful. Pain has not changed or moved. I have some gas and loose stools. No other symptoms. Should I go to the Doctor or wait a while?

                                    Brief Answer:
can monitor for now
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Constipation or diarrhea/loose bowel movements tend to cause pain in the area of the umbilicus.
It has to do with the origin of the nerves that supply the bowel.
Since you are currently experiencing loose stools, this is the likely cause of the pain that you are experiencing.
You can consider waiting a while to see if it resolves when the loose bowel movements improve.
Use probiotics either on their own or in yogurts with probiotics, these help to speed up recovery.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
