Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Itching is a very atypical complaint. Rarely heard of.
The reason too can be very atypical.
May I please know which investigations have been done till now.
Please post the reports attached to this question- we have this facility.
To recapitulate : 6 months - internal abdominal itching- roll on the floor - FBD- IBS- Constipation although you are passing motion everyday - Itching > feeling to pass motion but only small mucus - simple veg food habits.
The probable reason can be Colitis / Ulcer or a mass in the intestines / Diverticulitis.
I would suggest you to undergo the following investigations if not yet done : If done please post all the reports for me to think and help you more:::
CBC, Blood sugar, urea, creatinine, Liver , kidney and thyroid function tests.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Urine R/M
Stool - routine, microscopy, occult blood.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen;
COLONOSCOPY and Biopsy.
Sometimes Diagnostic Laparoscopy helps in diagnosis and treatment ( as a last resort due to your age 72 years. )
I am just trying to figure out whether this is just an itching or a severe pain as you have to roll on the floors.
You need to complete a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotics , activated charcoal tablets, anti-oxidants with multi-vitamins, Pain -killers in the form of anti-spasmodics whenever required.
The reports of the investigations will give us further idea to find out the cause and its treatment.
Awaiting for your reports ..Please post .
