Suggest Treatment For Internal Hemorrhoid During Pregnancy

Question: I am in the 25th week of my pregnancy and have been struggling with a hemorrhoid since the last 4 days.. My gynac after examination concluded it to be a prolapsed internal hemorrhoid which had become thrombosed, hence extremely painful.. She pushed the hemorrhoid in, and prescribed Anovate ointment and duphalac syrup and advised me to keep pushing in if it continues to prolapse.. Since then, the hemorrhoid has significantly reduced, the pain is completely gone.. Even then, at times a small mass does hang out at times which I am able to easily push in now painlessly, but it keeps coming.. Does Anovate have any adverse effects on the fetus at this stage, even the smallest? I used it for about 4 days now twice a day.. Is it safe to continue using it if necessary, for how long without any effects to me or fetus? I am doing the sitz bath too regularly 2-3 times a day which gives relief.. What else can be done to prevent/control prolapse and subsequent thrombosis till delivery?
Brief Answer:
Ointment is safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You can use anovate ointment safely, as there are no mentioned side effects on the fetus.
Moreover, you should continue with the sitz bath and ointment till the problem persists.
You should take high fibre diet and avoid constipation to prevent further prolapse.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
