Brief Answer:
Intestinal worms and treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Albendazole-400 mg once or ivermectin (150–200 μg/kg)once preferably at bed time is effective. You need to repeat single dose of either drug after 10 days to break the feco-oral cycle of ova to worms. These medications are contraindicated in pregnancy, however. These drugs are available anywhere but will be of different brand names.
These drugs are effective against major intestinal parasitic nematodes like Ascaris lumbricoides (round worm),Ancylostoma duodenale(hook worm),Enterobius vermicularis (pin-worm), Trichuris trichiura (Whipworm)& Strongyloides stercoralis.
However these are all prescription drugs. You need to subject stool for routine examination including ova, parasite and cyst to know the exact nematode /intestinal worm infestation you are suffering from.
