This is blepharospasm.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic
Iam Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that your grand mother having twitching of the upper eyelid of left eye. This is called as blepharospasm. This is because of involuntary contractions of the muscles of the upper eyelid.
This is usually because of age related problems. Since it is there for 2 years and appears to be quiet problamtic, I advice you to go for Botulinium injection. This will take care of the problem.
This is not related to the coronary hear disease or rheumatic disease.

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you

Dear doctor,

My grandma has accepted examination and treatment from her doctor. The doctor also told her that she has blepharospasm, but the bad situation wasn't cured. Do you know some good or new medicine that can relieve the blepharospasm ?

Brief Answer:
The best treatment is use of Botulinium injection

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up query.

The treatment options for blepharospasm are
1. Drugs are usually not associated with complete relief, but many drugs are used with incomplete success. The commonly used drugs are tricyclic antidepressants like lorazepam, clonazepam...
2. The best treatment with very good success rates is injection of Botulinium.
3. Surgical treatment is reserved for cases not responding to Botulinium and surgical treatment includes partial myectomy of the orbicularis muscle.
