Question : ! Monitor my blood pressure regularly at home. During the past several days I occasionally see the icon for irregular heartbeat on my monitor. My blood pressure is running about 140 over 70--a bit higher than usual.
Only change in medication has been an increase in Synthroid from175mg to 200mg. Should I be concerned?lorett

Good day.
Noted your concern. Electronic BP machines can sometimes do mistakes and false alarms. However, at your age, and at that dose of Synthroid, I would be concerned. Please meet a doctor who can check your pulse and also take an ECG. Besides, you may also require a new thyroid blood works to check for Synthroid overdose. I hope I am not scaring you. No need to worry. but cant ignore it.
