Question : wat is treatment of irregular heart beat , night some times heart beat goes utpo 120 , I an on metropolol 50mg od,ramipril 5mg od,Amlodipine 5mg od. I am taking actitron 4mg od. Please advice as i had mild stroke which has now recovered

It seems like you might be having a condition called Arrthymia. In this condition the electrical condition inside the heart becomes erratic resulting in irregular and fast heart rate.

The other possibility is Thyroid problems where excess secretion of thyroid hormones stimulates the heart to beat faster and irregular.

We need to find the cause of your problem for proper treatment. I advise you to get the following tests done and revert back to me .

Treadmill test, 2D ECHO, Serum TSH.
