Get hemoglobin level checked, can take OC pills.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
With polycystic ovarian syndrome, it is normal to have irregular and delayed periods, and then a heavy period when the actual period starts.
Please get your hemoglobin levels checked, and if it is low, then please take iron supplements.
Please write to me with your latest hemoglobin report.
Also get following tests done to rule out PCOD - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, Lipid profile, DHEAS, Free testosterone.
You can take cyclical progesterone or oral contraceptive pills to regulate your periods.
Also, if PCOD is confirmed, after the blood tests, then you can take Metformin to help in control of PCOD.
WHat is your height and weight ?
Are you sexually active ?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.
The tests which you have prescribed has to be taken in empty stomach or I can walkin any time to a clinic?
YEs you can take those tablets.
Detailed Answer:
Yes you can take Pause MF tablets twice a day.
BUt it is best to consult your doctor and have an ultrasound scan to rule out fibroids, endometrial hyperplasia etc.
The tests are done fasting, on an empty stomach , after consulting your doctor.
