Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
As you never had regular periods, considering your age, it is time to get properly evaluated and treated. It is not enough if you try and get withdrawal bleeding every time with progesterone input. You will see the withdrawal bleeding 3-7 days after completion of the course. You may need to use the medication for 3-5 days.
I would suggest a complete evaluation including blood counts, urinalysis, complete hormone profile, trans-vaginal sonogram, serum DHEAS levels, insulin levels evaluation and thyroid profile. Management of a healthy weight, regular exercise and a healthy diet are essential in maintaining a proper hormone balance.
Further management can be planned after investigation result.
Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further suggestions. I will be happy to help.
regards,

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back.
If the hormone profile and the sonogram have revealed normal study, it is possible that you could be ovulating less frequently. Sometimes, the menstrual cycle is set at a longer time, say, once every two months. Then, you see a period every two months. This is not abnormal and often seen. If you do not see a regular pattern, it means hormone imbalance.
If possible, please upload your reports so I can guide you better.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Shanti.V.
