Brief Answer:
Most common reason for such spotting is ovarian hormones not working normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
I am Dr Ramadevi WaniI. I will be answering your concern today.

Skipping of periods for a month or two is quite common around this age because of the ovarian hormones not working normally. Do not worry about it.

The most common reason for such spotting is also is ovarian hormones not working normally, which is normal in this age group.

The other reasons are:
1. Cervical/ endometrial polyp
2.Cervical erosion
3. Precancerous conditions of the cervix

Therefore it is important that you consult gynecologist for internal examination and investigations like ultrasound and Pap smear (if due).
I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama
