Question: My periods is very irregular n I have pcod problem also.I am planning gor kids.How I will know when my egg will fertilise?Can you please help me.

Thanks for writing to us.

At first, period should be regularized before planning to conceive. Progesterone pill and other supportive treatments are required to regularize monthly period. Kindly, consult with your gynecologist regarding this.

On regular period, it will be more easier to monitor ovulation and you prepare for that day to maximize the chance of pregnancy. Ovulation prediction kit (LH kit) is available in medical store. It can be used in the middle of cycle.

Serial Follicular study can be done from D12 to D16 through ultrasound scan. It gives more detailed picture.
