Question : I am a chronic patient with irritable bowl movement. A present am taking NORMAXIN TABLETS , one tab twice a day after food. Is this okay how long shudder I take them

The medicine yyou're taking us a combination of antispasmodic and anti anxiety medicines.
Now while agree that the anti anxiety medicines have to be given for a long time, I usually prefer to give only sos basis antispasmodic agents.

I Usually suggest a medicine called amitryptiline to my patients along with high fiber diet and plenty of fluids. Antispasmodic agents are better given on sos basis.

I suggest you take a fresh look at it with your gastroenterologist and ask for a new prescription.
