Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for the yeast infection as well as present condition in your boy friend.
After analyzing the condition along with the picture I can make out that your boy friend has got "Irritant/ Contact dermatitis" or in simple words allergy to mustard oil at present.
To explain you elaborately about the possible condition - Due to exposure to mustard oil which acted as irritant material the skin over penile area, the area got irritated and swollen. There is initial redness and itching with mild pain sensation. You can see that the area is quite swollen and looks irritated.
I suggest you to immediately meet your treating doctor otherwise the swelling over this are is quite prone to get further spread and can also get infected. Presently there are no any signs of yeast infection and you require to treat the present condition of irritant dermatitis in your boy friend.
Till the time you meet a doctor there are certain suggestions for your boy friend as below:
1. Do not Pinch pop or squeeze or rub any area. Avoid hot – humid climate.
2. Wear cotton clothes and avoid synthetic clothes.
3. Stay in cool environment (preferably AC) and avoid sweating.
4. Do not use any home remedies or self therapies over and near the affected area
5. Do cold compression over the affected area. Take a wet towel soaked in cold water and apply it for 5-10 minutes for 3-4 times a day.
For the time being period till you meet a doctor you can take an anti-inflammatory tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac or ibuprofen to reduce eh swelling. I hope this information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
