Question : Hi - i work up with an itchy left eye in the middle of the night. today it is red and puffy. my wife is worried that it is a reaction from trimming bushes yesterday, where there is a lot of poison ivy. should i see a doctor?

Hello,
Yes, if you think you have poison ivy near an eye you should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible. Use cool compresses on the eye (not ice, just a cool water soaked cloth) and take an antihistamine for the itching. See a doctor as soon as possible.
If you develop eye pain or visual loss go to emergency right away.
