Question : i have been experiening soreness around nipple are and itchy i have not had period for 10 years i am 61 i have had ultra sound scan and mammgram around 2 years ago all was normal cant figure out why i am feeling like this they have also got bigger in size

To recapitulate: Female/61 - soreness around nipples and itchiness - got bigger - menopause 10 years ago - Ultrasound and mammogram 2 years ago - normal -

The causes can be as follows:
- Hormonal changes are known to occur after the age of 60 years and give varies symptoms including the enlargement of nipples and soreness as you have explained.
- There may be a local problem like inflammation or so. It is worth getting examined by a General Surgeon and get the investigations of Ultrasound and Mammogram as may be advised by him. This is to rule out the any problem.
- You may also consult your Gynecologist, who would know more about the hormonal changes at your age and a possible solution too.
