Question : Hi, I have itching in my throat which causes coughing and it is for last 2 days. I usually get this problem once every year when climate changes takes place from rainy to winter season. Most of the times this is because of allergy. Last year doctor tried medicines and only lupituss worked. Currenly I m on medication omnacortil 10 for aloepecia. For last 2 days I m taking 2 teaspoon full of lupituss 3 times a day. Could you please suggest what medicines I can add and do i need antibiotics azythromycin?

Hello,

At the moment these medications are fine.Hold antibiotic for time being.Start them only if there is fever or increase in symptoms.

Add warm salt water gargles and steam inhalation.Though simple, these are pretty useful.

If itching is significant then add tantum gargles, this will give instant relief for few hours.
