Apply clotrimazole powder and see if it helps.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Usually I would have assumed the possibility of the itchiness being due to a fungal infection which is often seen. But I would like to know whether the diagnosis of lichen planus have been made by a doctor or is it what you infer based on the information that you have. Lichen planus is an autoimmune reaction and if it has already been confirmed by a doctor I would rather think the cause of itchiness to be on the same lines. If the diagnosis has not been confirmed, I would insist you to apply clotrimazole powder and see if you get relief.
I have not enquired about your sexual habits and whether there could be a possibility of sexually transmitted diseases. If there could be a possibility, it is better to get yourself examined by a doctor.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond earlier.
Since lichen planus has already been diagnosed, I would suspect the cause of itchiness to be on the same lines. Lichen planus is due to autoimmune cause. However, since there is a reasonable possibility of it being due to a fungal cause, I would suggest you to apply clotrimazole powder and see if it provides relief. If not, you would have to visit a dermatologist.
