default
Posted on Wed, 1 Jun 2016
Question: I was out doing yard work on my hands and knees 2 weeks ago. I started itching the next day. I think I got chigger bites, but I here that they should have been gone by now. They don't itch anymore. They don't hurt. I'm just curious are they chigger bites or something else?? They are only on my torso area.

Brief Answer:
Insect bite hypersensitivity reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Health Care Magic

I have reviewed the attached photographs and they look like an insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.

I am not sure whether due to chiggers or some other insect.
Don't worry as it will take sometime for the lesions to settle.

In such cases I recommend my patients to apply Cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily for faster resolution of these bumps.

Regards
Dr Asmeet
