Question : I woke up this morning with an itchy hives symptom. Looking in the mirror I noticed red splotches. Now the inside of my mouth is swelling.

You have developed acute urticaria with angioedema.
It is an allergic condition.
You might have developed allergy to any food product or any new thing to which you have come in contact with.
I treat such case with oral steroid and antihistamine tablet.
Tablet prednisolone in the dose of 1 mg per kg body weight daily for 3 days works well.
You might require a prescription for this.
