Question : My wife started taking Methylprednisolone this morning and this evening she is having what seems to be an allergic reaction. Itching nose and face. Should she stop taking the meds and instead take a Benadryl?
Brief Answer:
I will say let her continue with it!
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have reviewed this information fully. It is unlikely that these symptoms are suggestive of an allergic reaction to methylprednisolone. I will suggest that she continues with it. These symptoms would certainly subside as this is one of the main indications for taking methylprednisolone. Do not administer Benadryl at this time.
I wish you well and keep me posted on this.
