Question : My daughter woke up with a rash on her arms and a few spots on her legs. Large circular spots. Most are not raised although there is a patch of raised rash close by that is not in a circular pattern. She feels fine. Slightly itchy but she has no fever.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Your daughter has urticaria,since some of the rashes are raised..Do they do blanch with pressure? Did she have any sore throat or any drug exposure before appearance of this rash? At present whether she is having any other symptoms like fever,joint pain etc?Please do her complete blood count.There is a possibility of dermatophytosis (fungal infection),since the lesions are circular with central clearing.
Skin scraping with KOH preparation on mocroscopy may reveal hypae.Needs dermatologist's opinion.
