Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes In Upper Lip And Inner Skin Of Penis

Question: I am finding some allergic symptoms when I am taking drugs, I feel that I would be because of antibiotics however I am not sure. Once I take drugs include antibiotics I can feel some rashes on upper lip and some itching sensation on my inner skin of pennis.

Kindly see what would be the problem here

Certain antibiotics are known to cause allergic reactions as their side effects.
Antibiotics like penicillin group, cephalosporin group, metronidazole etc are very notorious for allergic side effects.
And your symptoms like rash and itching in upper lip, inner skin of Penis are allergic mostly.

2. Which other drugs you are taking, other than antibiotics?

I am suffering with cold and fever yesterday, took madication on my own, The medical Shop retailer provided me with CIPRODAC 500, and other one ends with ....... ARD PLUS i couldnt see the fullname of it.

1. Which antibiotic you are taking?
either of these CIPRODAC 500 or ....... ARD PLUS
2. Which other drugs you are taking, other than antibiotics?
either of these CIPRODAC 500 or ....... ARD PLUS not really sure.
3. Do your symptoms started only after starting drugs?

Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
Ciprodac is having ciprofloxacin. It is flouroquinolone group of antibiotic and can cause allergic symptoms.
Sorry to say but I can't remember any drug with ending letters as you mentioned.
Can you please tell me the content of it.
So that I can have some idea.
I also want to know whether same drug was causing you allergic symptoms in the past or not.
I mean to say that, in your past when you have such symptoms, you were on same antibiotic (ciprodac) or other antibiotic.

Hello Doctor,

Just 2 weeks back My stomach was upset when I am out of station in XXXXXXX I have no option other than to take medicines from retailer. I am not sure what medication that got provided, however I have to same symptoms that time also.

To be clear, I am having allergic symptoms with in an hour gap and taking time to heal.

BBy your history and description, you are mostly having drug allergies especially to quinolone group.
Following are the drugs included in this group. Ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, gatifloxacin, sparfloxacin etc.
So better to avoid such drugs in future.
Please tell me if you are allergic to other things, other than drugs.
Like dust, mites, pollens, pollution, clothes or food.
