Question : Hello Doctor,

I have red pimples growing on my Beltline and a bit lower reaching to the top of my pubic hair, they itch, then deflate and become brownish purpulish blemishes that leave a mark, they don't seem to stop happening.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Scabies

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Image.

-Does it itch more at night?
-Is anyone else in family affected similarly?

I will keep a possibility of Scabies and would like to treat you empirically for it.

A single whole body application of 1% Gamma Benzene Hexachloride lotion (Lindane) Or 5% Permethrin cream/lotion, applied from neck downwards, kept overnight for 8 hours and followed by a bath next day.

An OTC oral antihistamine e.g Cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.

Regards

Does it itch more at night:

I never really noticed, if it itches at night more, but what I'm 100% sure about is that I first started having an itch in other places like buttocks, balls, and then gradually it went up to the beltline. Now I have alot of these small spots all around my beltline and new ones are emerging.

Can it be anything other than scabies, and is there anything I can use to remove the spots left over by scabies?

Brief Answer:
Treat for scabies

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The distribution is very suggestive of scabies.
Therefore I suggest you to treat for scabies as advised in my earlier reply.
Don't worry about the spots. The spots will fade with time provided new ones stop coming.
