Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

A itchy, red, crusty scalp indicates a chronic skin conditions. It can be eczema, seborrheic dermatitis or scalp prosiasis.
There are many treatment options available to treat such condition.Shampooing with a formulation that contains pyrithone zinc or selenium sulfide is effective in seborrheic dermatitis.Shampoos containing tea tree oil can be effective.
Another approach is using a shampoo containing an anti-fungal medication (Ketoconazole) and topical corticosteroids.

You need to consult a dermatologist for proper evaluation. The treatment will depend upon the diagnosis.

Hope it helps.
Please feel free to ask if you have any question.

Kind regards,
