Suggest Treatment For Itchy Spot Between The Leg And Vagina

Question: It is very itchy in the crease between my vagina and leg. There is a spot that is not a bump, it's almost like a little bit of extra skin. I have had the same sexual partner for over a year and tested for sexual health so I don't think it's an std.

Dear Ms

Thanks for providing clinical photograph. The itchy rash is due to Intertrigonitis(fungal infection of skin folds). it usually occurs due to following reasons

1. Excessive sweating and moisture

2. Use of synthetic material undergarments

The skin tag like lesion is due to hyperkeratosis which usually occurs due post inflammation usually seen with fungal infection.

I would suggest you the following

1. Take cshower twice a day

2. Thoroughly clean and dry the area

3. Local application of anti fungal ointment will help. Apply it twice a day for 2 weeks

4. Wear cotton panties
