Brief Answer:
Liv-52 can be started. Cause needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Jaundice could be due to multiple causes. It could be due to increased hemolysis (hemolytic jaundice), liver causes (hepatic jaundice) or obstructive cause (obstructive jaundice).
2. Without knowing the type of jaundice, difficult to prescribe treatment.
3. Assuming it is hepatic cause, at present, Liv-52, a liver protectant can be started.
4. Reports necessary to identify the type. Serum bilirubin levels, ultrasound and liver biopsy reports necessary to identify the type and cause of jaundice. Identifying cause and treating it is most important.

Hope it helps.
