Brief Answer:
Explained below..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query,
I have read through your query and I can understand your concern,

I would suggest you to do the following;

1) Diet-
* follow a liquid diet for the first week. Drink as much water as you can. Take juices of orange, grapes, pear, carrot, beet, sugarcane. This type of fluid diet will help the body in eliminating bilirubin easily.

* Following that, you can start on fruits, broth, custard, yogurt. Also add i green leafy vegetables n your diet. Since protein content is also necessary for you, start with small quantities of skimmed milk, chicken liver, lean pieces of meat, pulses.

* Slowly you can switch over to foods rich in carbohydrates like rice porridge, bread, potato etc. Make sure that you eat homely foods and foods which are cooked properly. Also consume boiled water.

2) Rest- Since during jaundice, the immune system gets weakened, I would suggest you to take ample amount of rest for one week at the maximum. Complete bed rest is only advised in severe cases. I would urge you not to involve in any form of strenous activities for a while. Also stay clear of any mental stress.

Proper rest and food is sure to get you back on track in no time.

Hope this helps

Brief Answer:
not much rest required now as before

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Thanks for writing back,

Since its been already 3 weeks, then you do not require much rest as such. You can do your daily jobs and travel as usual.

But I would say it is for your best to wait till your bilirubin count comes to a much lower range, to resume activities like badminton/ cricket, as they do command much physical exertion and strength.

Jaundice due to viral hepatitis requires 4-6 weeks in some and it may extend to even 8-12 weeks in other depending on the severity. I would suggest you to wait for 2 more weeks and monitor the bilirubin levels, once found to be reaching the normal range, you can resume outdoor games.

Hope I have answered to your query.
