Question: I have 4mm stone in my left kidney, which is there for last few years.
I had stones in my right kidney as well, but no they are no longer(as per last scan).
I never had any pain near it.
What is the best way to remove this. whenever i visit any doctor, they say no need to take medicine,

Brief Answer:
Lithotripsy

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

1.The best way to take care of it is to undergo Lithotripsy, it is a painless method where ultrasonic waves are used to destroy the stones and make it smaller. These stones will pass off in the urine.
2. I also recommend that you drink lots of water, atleast 3-4 litres per day. The best way to avoid recurrence of stones is to drink plenty of water, avoid dehydration, aerated drinks, cabbage and legumes.
3. I also give my patients Tab Furisemide along with advice of plenty of water, this will help washing off of the stones. This has to be done under strict supervision of your doctor

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Brief Answer:
Wait

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I agree with your doctor, as the stone is not causing any problem it is best that you wait it out and re check the stone size after 3 months with an ultrasound
