Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain And Numbness In Legs

Question: 27/male 1st meniscus surgery 2008, 2nd in 2011...felt good for 3 years. Got back to running at times. For the last year my activity has been strictly golf. I don't stretch much but do sometimes. My hip on my my left side (surgery side) pops when I pick my knee up to my hip....resets every 45 mins. My left foot has felt somewhat dead since the 2nd surgery. This past week the knee pain came back and has stayed for the first time since the 2nd surgery. There are lots of twinges and tingly spots near the meniscus, on the knee cap, I'm the foot, and near the top of my tibia. Wondering if you have any insight before I decide to go to an orthopedic and have him recommend an MRI. I went on a very short run 2 weeks ago and there was no pain for the following few days. I played 36 holes of golf on Monday and since then I have been experiencing the symptoms

I have gone through your query. Your condition can be osteoarthrosis with synovitis. Meniscus is not completely removed. Only the damaged portion is removed. So the rest of meniscus could have damaged again. As there is sudden twisting motion in playing golf you are prone for that.

An Orthopedic examination is inevitable to rule out the injury and MRI will be needed to confirm it.Hip and foot examination and a X ray to rule out arthritis if any signs present. Quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises should be done after your pain subsides. NSAIDs can be taken for short time and elastic bandage should be applied and rest for 1 week.
