Question : I have pain from my knees going down the front of my leg, in the shin actually.

How long have you had this?
Is there pain in lower back too?
Is there any tingling or burning sensation?
What is the reason for your inability to take pain remedies?
Are you on any other medication?
Is there any swelling?
Are you able to walk?
Do you have any major illness besides this pain?

meanwhile--warm some castor oil, mix with any pain rub --1tsp each--and gently massage the shin and knees three times a day for 10 minutes--if you cannot get castor oil, use any vegetable oil available.
