Question : My knee locked up - it has happened previously, but always `popped` back into place when I move it a certain way. This instance has gone for half day and I can`t get it to resolve. I cannot walk at all, is too painful.

Brief Answer:
Possibly due to muscle spasm

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Possibly a muscle spasm is involved. I would insist you to take juicy fruits like citrus fruits since they contain plenty of potassium. You also need to take medicines like Aleve (naproxen) twice daily for the next 2-3 days. Also apply hot compress. Hopefully that would help. If it does not, it would be advisable to visit a doctor and to get treated accordingly.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
