Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to heart failure.

Other possible causes to consider would be:

- chronic anemia
- a lung disorder like COPD
- thyroid dysfunction
- vitamin D deficiency.

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound to examine your heart function and structure
- a chest X ray study and respiratory function tests
- complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes levels
- thyroid hormone levels for possible dysfunction
- kidney and liver function tests for possible dysfunction
- vitamin D levels.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
