He said fish in mandarin cuz it is earlier to pronoun. After saying those words a month or so. He stop saying it. He called out mama,, byebye grandma in mandarin before. Then not anymore. Now he is 28months, he start grunting a lot when he looking at me , playing , etc. He point, he get what I asked him to, he takes me to what he wants, he copies what I do, copies when I make weird sound, his dr said he has no signs of autism. Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
I understand your concern..
I have few questions and suggestions for you -
1. What is his birth weight and current weight?
2. When did he start walking?
3. Did he cry immediately after birth or did he require any special assistance to take the first breath?
4. How long does he see television or tablet or cartoons per day?
5. Did any one of the parents' had a speech delay as children?
6. How many word s does he speak as of now- I mean his vocabulary consists of how many words?
Suggestions:
1. I suggest you are doing great by singing rhymes to him.
2. Do not use tablet or computer or TV or laptop for doing that.
3. Do not force him too much comparing him with others.
4. He might get benefited by speech therapy, but before that kindly get back with the answers to my above questions.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.

Brief Answer:
Definite language delay - needs speech therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I went through your reply in detail. Actually I am happy that you have given me all the required information.

I feel that your son has a speech delay definitely and he will definitely get benefited by speech therapy.

The reasons could be -
1. Three languages being spoken at home, he might be getting confused.
2. Laptop and tablet - the issue with these gadgets is that, these make the kids understand the circumstances well according to the wordings, but the gadgets wont speak back and the it wont be giving kids an idea that they should interact.

Suggestions on Language delay

Detailed Answer:
Hi...

1. TV or video games or laptop or tablet XXXXXXX 1- 2 hours per day.
2. Toddler music is OK, but to a maximum of 1 - 2 hours including everything.
3. Plain music is advisable than accompanied with video.
4. Try engaging him in talk whenever he is in contact with you or your mom (human voice and interaction helps a lot).
