Suggest Treatment For Large Hematoma On Right Chest After Rib Injury

Question : I fractured several ribs through coughing 5 weeks ago and suffered a large haematoma on my right side. Although the initial severe pain had subsided after 3 weeks I have noticed that there is now a nagging pain through my side and around my lower back and the haematoma is very tender. Is this all part of the healing process?

I am sorry for the situation you are going through.

As you had a severe trauma with large hematoma, it will take some time for the hematoma to disintegrate and for the pain to subside.

Continue taking pain killers with applying heparin gel to dissolve hematoma.
