Suggest Treatment For Leaking Urine In Elderly People
Question: I am a 77 year old female. I am not on any medication and have no illnesses.
In XXXXXXX of this year I started leaking urine. I thought this was old age. Finally
went to a urologist and he did all the tests and everything came back benign.
I have to wear pads 24/7 and want to stop this annoying problem. Today I started to bleed and am worried.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have leaking of urine all the time .

1) Will you please upload the report of all the tests that you have done ?
2) Have your Urologist done endoscopic examination of your bladder (Cystoscopy).
3)Are you over weight?
4) Are you diabetic?
5) Do you have other urinary symptoms like frequency.burning ,urgency etc?
The commonest cause of leakage of urine at this age is Post Menopausal Urethral Stenosis that causes chronic retention of urine with overflow .
Please consult qualified Urologist again and discuss feasibility of doing Urethral Calibration and Intermittent self cauterization .
