Question : I have been having chest pains on the left side of my body. At first I didn't think much of it because it went away, but now it's been about a week and I am still having this pain. Should I go to the doctor with this or might just be heart burn?
Brief Answer:
Heart issues, GERD
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
There are many different causes for left sided chest pain.
The most important cause is heart disease.
Heartburn due to GERD and muscular pain are less serious but more common causes.
I would advise you to take gaviscon, prilosec and tylenol. If the pain is due to GERD or muscular issues you will get relief with these medications.
If there is no relief, go to your doctor for an EKG.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
