Question: I woke up with swelling on the left side of my face caused by a tooth. It is thanksgiving. Is there s temporary remedy to ease pain and reduce swelling until I can get to a dentist

It seems that there is infection in your tooth and it is leading to dental abscess formation that is the cause for pain and swelling..

As of now you can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen but only after consulting a local Physician..

Along with it do cool compresses over the swelling..
Avoid chewing from painful side..
