Question : This morning I fell down several stairs while holding my son. I hit the left side of my back, not spine just muscle area. I also seem to have broken my toe. Is there anything I need to worry about? It isn't too painful if I am waling, but if I have to bend over towards the left it is quite painful. I am feeling nauseous, but I also just got over a stomach bug. What would be cause for concern wuth this injury?

Brief Answer:
Most probably muscular spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them.

Yes, most probably this pain is because of muscular spasm. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- naproxen twice a day for 5 days.
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and put it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
- avoid lifting heavy weight till you become healthy again.
- ask some family member to do oil massage on your back. It will also give soothing effect.

Hopefully you will observe improvement soon but If pain persists then visit hospital for workup & physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
