If umbilical hernia it could be related. If any other hernia then it could be due to chronic gastritis. Take antispasmodic drug.

Brief Answer:
Get physical examinarion done by doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concern and situation.

Are you overweight, lifting heavy objects, or have a persistent cough? Mostly some patients compain pain for few months post surgery. I suggest gwt examination done by your surgeon. In meanwhile I advise you to take NSAID, antispasmodic and omeprazole to relieve pain. You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen. Wear loose clothing.

Make sure you follow the instructions that were given post surgery, maintain hygiene of wound, and bathing. Avoid straining on the toilet because of constipation. Drink plenty of fluids and along with plenty of vegetables, fruit and high-fibre foods such as brown rice and wholemeal bread. The pain you complaining is on left side so probably gastric related. It could be ulcer related. Get tested for H. Pylori infection. You might need some investigations to find the diagnosis. Visit a gastroenterologist.

Take care
I hope I answered your query.
