Suggest Treatment For Lichen Planus On Penis

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Oct 2014
Question: I have had 2 dermatologists tell me that I have lichen planus on my penis. The condition I have is quite painful and at times itchy. There are white areas that seem to have black seeds under them. There is also an area on the rim of my penis that is red and raised and has been there for about 3 years. The condition has not responded to steroid creams or antifungals. Could this be genital warts? Around the urethral opening there are a lot of strange bumps that are painful. I have attached pictures

Ok so the first bumps occurred on the rim about 3 years ago, 2 weeks after a brief unprotected sexual encounter. The area started out as bright red and was painful. I also contracted chlamydia from this encounter, which I was treated for. I have had chlamydia and NGU several times in the past as well as acute prostatitis. I currently take medication for depression and anxiety (pristiq). No other conditions. I was in a monogamous relationship for the last 2.5 years and my partner did not complain of any sexual issues ok her end. I recently had unprotected sex with a female about 1.5 months ago and now the pain in my penis has come back. I got tested on monday for STDs as I have prostatitis again after the most recent encounter. I don't know the results yet. I am on ciproflox 500mg twice daily.
