Brief Answer:
His symptoms are not related to eliquis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that these bowel disorders are not related to eliquis adverse effects.

I would recommend continue taking eliquis, as it does not cause adverse gastro-intestinal effects.

For the constipation you should consult him with a gastro-enterologist. Lactulose can be helpful besides a diet full of fibers (cereals, olive oil, vegetables, etc. Besides, it does not interact with eliquis, so it is safe to take them concomitantly.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
