Suggest Treatment For Loose Bridge Due To Failed Implant

default
Posted on Mon, 15 Sep 2014
Question: Hello,
I am looking for a dentist that knows something about implants? My Mom's bridge on her lower left side is connected to two implants, the front one has come loose, can this be glued back by any dentist?

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
implantologist,prosthodontist,failedimplant/bridge

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The loose bridge can be because of the dislodged cementation or the failing or failed implant. It is better to consult a oral implantologist or a prosthodontist to get it evaluated rather than a dentist.. To confirm whether it is the problem with the overlying bridge or the implants, you need to get a radiograph done for that region. Based on the findings we can treat accordingly.
If there is a problem with the bridge (in cemenation), it can be recemented. If there is a problem with the implant then, it might have to be repeated or replaced with another implant with grafts.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
