Brief Answer:
Provide more details about your problem

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

You mentioned that lastly you masturbated 5 times a day and since 2 months not masturbated. With frequent masturbation person cannot suffer from erection problem or loss of libido. Loss of libido for a day or two may happen but not for so long.

To help you further describe more about your problem and provide more information.

- Why did you not do masturbation since 2 months?

- Is there pain in penis?

- Are you married? If yes, When did you do your last successful intercourse?

- Is morning erection present when you wake up?

- Do you have any physical illness, specifically diabetes or high blood pressure? If yes describe details with medicines.

- Is there any history of smoking?

- Is there any difficulty in urinating? (to check for prostate problem)

- Is there any stress in your life?

- Have you undergone testosterone level? If not go for the same and revert back to me with report. If it is reduced we need to provide replacement.

I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Brief Answer:
go for serum testosterone level, take sildenafil for a while

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for information and sorry for delayed response.

Considering your history there is no likely physical cause of your problem. It is likely due to low testosterone, psychological reasons or performance anxiety.

You should go for serum testosterone level as well as serum B12 level.

Sometime due to fatigue, lack of mood, situational problem or environmental changes man can fail in sex. It is normal phenomenon. However when this failure makes person apprehensive about erection, sex life is affected. This is called performance anxiety. After such failure when person actively thinks about erection or success of intercourse during sex his mind is likely diverted to such thoughts. For constant erection continuous exciting/romantic/erotic feelings should be there in mind. If mind diverted to concern about erection, erection would not be possible.
Sometime due to failure once person loses libido.

Whatever the reason is there you can be helped with medicine.

5- PDE inhibitor group of medicines like sildenafil or tadalafil will be useful. One of them should be used 2 hours prior to sex. They cause headache, stuffy nose nausea and gastric discomfort like common side effects. Proper physical check up of cardiac system should be done by a doctor before starting the same. These are prescription medicines and you need to consult doctor/psychiatrist/sexologist for the prescription.

This medicine will help to improve your libido and sexual performance and confidence. After few successful attempts you may do sex without help of medicine.

Hope this answers your concern. Revert back to me your testosterone and B12 reports.

Take care.

Hello Dr,
I took Sildenafil and I had strong erection when I touched my private part and it stayed too. But actual feel for sex wasn't there. I didn't have or asked for. It's a lack of interest which is all of the sudden. I haven't yet taken testosterone and B12 test which I will do soon. Is there anything I should do Dr.

Brief Answer:
visit a psychiatrist for detail counseling and opinion after reports

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up.

Strong erection with sildenafil suggests no physical problem likely in penis. Possibility of testosterone deficiency or some stress/psychological factors is there for your loss of libido.

Detail history and psychological examination are needed to treat your problem. After reports consultation of a psychiatrist/sexologist will help. By degree psychiatrist is sexologist.

All the best and take care.
